Looking for a place to have your deer processed into something the whole family will like? We offer 10 different varieties of deer sausage along with cutting of steaks, roasts and/or burger from your deer. We also offer quick turn-arounds for those hunters who come to our fine town from far away and need to get back home.
For those worried about the threat of Chronic Waste Disease (CWD) we are pleased to inform you that we have participated in the Department of Natural Resource's program to check for CWD. Our locker - along with others in Illinois - have checked deer killed in various counties for CWD and none has been found for the past 3 deer seasons. We will participate again this year.
Deer in Southern Illinois are still rampant. The summer weather has been wet and cooler than normal so it should be a good deer season. We have seen many young deer already!
This year we would like hunters to bring any wild game recipes they may have that they would like to put in a cookbook we are putting together. The proceeds of the cookbook sales are going to cancer research since my family personally has had 2 deaths and 2 other family members where the cancer was "removed". You can e-mail the receipes to talkdeer1@yahoo.com or bring them to the shop during deer season.

We are located at 600 North Ferne Clyffe Road in Goreville, Illinois.
From Int. 57 take Exit 40 East approximately 3 miles into Goreville. The first building on your left is Goreville's Food Market. Make the left between the store and the church and follow the road (North Ferne Clyffe Road) around the bend - the road runs right into us.
From Int. 24 take Exit 7 West to Hwy. 37 (the road stops going west!!) Go North on 37 into town; make a left at the Regions Bank and a right between the church and grocery store (North Ferne Clyffe Road). Follow the road around the bend - the road runs into our building.
