Q & A

Where can I check in my archery deer?
The DNR is not requiring you to go to a check station with your archery deer this year. You will need to call the phone number provided on your license BEFORE you bring your deer in because we need the number they will provide you.

Do you ship orders for out of town people?
No. This is too risky because the order would be meat! We tried this a couple times, but it's not worth taking the chance of ruining your order.

Do I get MY deer back?
If you have your deer cut into steaks, roasts or burger -- YES -- you get your deer back. If you have part or all of your deer put into sausage -- NO -- the sausages are everybody's deer mixed together.

How do I know when my deer is done?
We call you as soon as your order is complete and ready to go. If you need your deer on a specific date, then we write that date on your order ticket and expect you to be there to pick it up on that day. If you ask for it to be done on a specific day and you don't come and get it that day you WILL BE CHARGED extra because we put your order in front of someone else.

How long do I have to pick up my order?
Once we call and tell you your order is ready you have 7 days to pick it up.

What are your prices?
Please go to Our Prices page for a complete list.

Can I donate a deer?
Yes. If you like to hunt, but don't like or want to eat it, we will take it. We have a few families in the area who can always use some extra meat. We also have a church we give the donation deer to in order to help out some of the less fortunate parishioners. Due to the increase in "donation" deer, we will be charging a $25 donation fee to help cover some of the labor costs involved.

Does my deer have to be field dressed?
Preferably! For health reasons its best to field dress your deer immediately after killing it, but if you can't -- we will. We DO charge an extra $25.00 to field dress your deer.

Can I bring in "parts" of my deer?
Yes. You can bring in boneless trim or quartered parts. We charge a $10.00 processing fee for EACH quartered piece. Boneless trim that is clean and ready to use has no extra processing charge. You MUST have a current DNR tag for any meat that is brought in.

Can I get the hide off my deer?
It depends on what part of the season it is. During early and late bow season we can save YOUR deer's hide. During shotgun season we will give you a hide, but can't guarantee which deer it came off.

How do you know which deer is mine?
When you place your order we have a number on your ticket. We also have that same number on a small card with a string that you attach to your DNR tag on your deer. That tag follows the deer from the skinning room to the freezer and out the door to your cooler!!

What if I'm not satisfied with my order?
You need to call or come back in and speak to us. The only way we can fix it is if you let US know you have a problem. Customer satisfaction is our main goal.

What payment forms do you accept?
Cash, of course, checks with current and complete name, address, phone, bank, etc. information; and WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING VISA, MASTERCARD, AND DEBIT CARDS.
